Summer Program 2023 — Curatorial Development

Curatorial

The Summer Program 2023, developed and curated by Yohanna M. Roa and Juan Puntes, brings together a series of exhibitions, workshops, and public-facing initiatives that extend WhiteBox’s commitment to experimental, process-based, and socially engaged practices.

Conceived as an expanded curatorial platform, the program functions as both a pedagogical and artistic framework, activating exhibition-making as a space of research, collaboration, and knowledge production. Through a constellation of projects and participants, it foregrounds collective methodologies, interdisciplinary dialogue, and the relationship between curatorial practice and lived experience.

The program reflects an ongoing interest in rethinking the exhibition as a dynamic system—one that operates across formats, temporalities, and publics, while remaining responsive to the social and cultural conditions of its context.
